Emergence begins in late June, and the flight season lasts until September.
It is not very common at Slop Bog, but a few are usually seen around the acid pools.

  Demoiselle

This is a damselfly of fast-flowing rivers and streams, which have a pebble or sandy bottom.
They are on the wing from the end of May to late August.
Their large wings enable them to be carried quite some distance from water.
At Slop Bog, a few have been seen near Dragonfly Drop .
It could be that they come from the small boundary stream.
